Central Office Line Simulator (SMS & Caller ID) ai7280

The default configuration for the AI-7280 is to have a line feed circuit that is capable of 72V DC maximum when in the on hook state, and 72mA maximum when the line is terminated with a load.
The AI-E702 option allows the DC feed to be configured as either a constant voltage feed common with legacy equipment, or as a constant current feed as is common in the newer central office and FXS designs. This flexibility ensures testing on the same topologies found in the network.

Waveform Capture: AI-ET004

The waveform capture option provides the ability to continuously download waveforms from the AI-5620 to the PC. The waveforms can be viewed and analysed for additional measurements. Additionally, a live FFT view allows monitoring of AC signals in the frequency domain.

Additional Line Impedance: AI-E701

Adds a third complex impedance to the two built in complex impedances of TBR-21 and German ZR. Common impedance selections include the following:

  •   82 ohm + (600 ohm || 68 nF) (TBR-38 "a")
  • 220 ohm + (1800 ohm || 150 nF) (TBR-38 "c")
  • 370 ohm + (620 ohm || 310 nF)

 

Alternate Ringer Loads:

By default the AI-5620 comes installed with ringer loads conforming to the TIA-1063 standard (1 REN = 8.0 uF + 6.8k). As a factory installed option, the ringer loads can be changed to one of the following alternates:

  • AI-E502-Aus:
    Australian AS/ACIF S004:2008 (1 REN = 1.0uF + 4.0k)
  • AI-E502-ETSI25:
    ETSI 25 Hz TS 101 952-1-1 (1 REN = 2.2uF + 2.7k)
  • AI-E502-ETSI50:
    ETSI 50 Hz TS 101 952-1-1 (1 REN = 1.0uF + 2.7k)

This optional software component provides the TRsSim application the capability to analyse captured waveforms for more detailed information and measurement extraction. The added capabilities include:

Telephone line simulator

  • Show byte & bit level decoding for FSK waveforms
  • Generate detailed physical layer FSK analysis reports
  • Generate detailed DTMF analysis reports
  • Generate detailed CAS/DTAS analysis reports
  • Detect and analyse network tones (dial, ring back, busy)
  • Perform waveform filtering and transforms

 

Instrument Suite Software: AI-SS100

The Instrument Suite software option is a Windows application that allows the AI-5120 Telephone Line Monitor to operate as a digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) and spectrum analyser. The software enables the user to investigate the time domain and frequency domain representation of signals through an intuitive instrument like graphical user interface.
